SpaceX has launched its enormous Starship into orbit for the first time. But the spacecraft will return to Earth early instead of making six full laps around Earth as originally planned. SpaceX says Starship will aim for a splashdown in the Pacific, north of Hawaii, three hours after blasting off from Texas. The previous test flights just skimmed space, lasting an hour at most. Founder Elon Musk’s showpiece rocket carried 26 of the newest and most advanced Starlinks. All of them were released into orbit. It’s the 14th flight of a full-scale Starship in three years.
